East Belfast Enterprise was delighted to be involved alongside Eastside Partnership in organising and sponsoring the recent Future East event at Portview Trade Centre.
Our CEO, Jonathan, and Clare our Senior Business Advisor attended the event, joining representatives from across the public, private and third sectors for an encouraging opening conversation on the future of East Belfast’s local economy.
The event focused on how a community wealth building approach could support regeneration across East Belfast, helping to create a stronger, more resilient and more inclusive local economy. It provided an important opportunity for local organisations, businesses and stakeholders to come together, share insight and explore practical ways to support long-term growth in the area.
A special thanks goes to Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald, who joined as keynote speaker, and to Sarah McKinley for her valuable insight. We would also like to thank all contributors and attendees who helped make the event such a success. The energy in the room was clear, and the level of discussion showed a real appetite for collaboration and positive change.
This was just the beginning of the Future East conversation, with follow-up events already planned for:
- 16th September 2026
- 2nd December 2026
- 10th March 2027
East Belfast Enterprise is proud to support conversations and initiatives that help shape a stronger future for East Belfast. We encourage local businesses, organisations and community representatives to get involved and look out for further details on the upcoming Future East events.
