Not all of you will know your neighbours just yet, but trust us — there are some incredible things happening right here in the East Belfast Enterprise community.
From cutting-edge innovations to global collaborations and national recognition, many of our tenants are making their mark locally and internationally. We’re proud to share a few recent highlights from the brilliant businesses based at City East and our Albertbridge Road site.
Think.Air: From East Belfast to Japan
Based at East Belfast Enterprise for the past two years, Think.Air is a start-up developing Net Zero, AI-enabled smart ventilation technology designed to create healthier indoor environments.
In December 2023, Think.Air was invited to showcase their innovation at the Smart Buildings Expo in Tokyo, supported by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. While there, they caught the attention of RIKEN — Japan’s largest research institution — and BEAM Technologies Inc, a deep-tech company working at the forefront of ventilation and semiconductor development.
The Tokyo trip led to a joint application for EUREKA GlobalStars funding, a prestigious international programme that received 72 applications from eight countries. Following a rigorous selection process by leading organisations such as Microsoft Japan, AIST, and NEDO, Think.Air’s project was one of just three selected to receive funding.
This two-year, €1.6 million collaborative project kicked off in September — a major milestone for founder Peter and the team. We’re proud to see a business from our community leading global innovation in clean, smart tech.
UbiClinic: Supporting Health & Life Sciences Innovation

Formerly known as NowDoctor, UbiClinic has been growing steadily here at East Belfast Enterprise — and their hard work is paying off.
We’re thrilled to share that UbiClinic has been awarded an Innovate UK Health & Life Sciences Grant. The funding will support the development of their new platform that helps healthcare professionals find and book the perfect treatment room — all in one place.
This competitive grant is designed to back high-growth, high-potential businesses in the sector, and receiving this support from the UK’s innovation agency is a strong endorsement of UbiClinic’s vision.
Big congratulations to the whole team — we can’t wait to see the new platform scale.
Vet Rehab NI: Helping Pets Live Their Best Lives
Over at our Albertbridge Road site, Vet Rehab NI continues to provide outstanding care to animals in need of rehabilitation and pain management.
Led by Clare and her passionate team, the clinic supports a wide range of pets — including, recently, their first ever albino hedgehog, Finn! His treatment is just one of many examples of the love and dedication the team brings to their work.
Whether it’s hydrotherapy for dogs or physio for our smaller furry friends, Vet Rehab NI is helping animals recover and thrive. You can keep up with their latest updates and adorable patients via their news section.
We’re so proud to see our community of businesses grow, innovate, and make a difference — both here in East Belfast and around the world.
