Smart-Ventilation recently took their innovation to the global stage, exhibiting at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight in April.
Invited to be part of this internationally recognised showcase of cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions, the team had the opportunity to connect with forward-thinking businesses, investors, and innovators from across the world. Representing both their business and the strength of Northern Ireland’s innovation ecosystem, the visit marked a significant milestone in their growth journey.
A highlight of the trip included a team photo featuring Kazue Ota, Elliot Thompson, Sayo Takahashi, Hanae Nakamura, and Peter Keig proudly holding East Belfast Enterprise mugs – a small but meaningful reminder of home while building global connections.
Their exhibition booth attracted strong interest throughout the event, but it was their robot, ‘Kan Kan’, that truly captured attention – delighting visitors by handing out Walkers biscuits and creating a memorable, uniquely local touch at an international event.
