A new line of handcrafted cordials from Longbridge Drinks Co in Belfast is being stocked in Tesco stores across Northern Ireland.
The Longbridge cordials include heritage flavours such as Ginger, Cloudy Lemonade, Elderflower, Sarsaparilla and Spiced Winterberry.
They have been created by the small enterprise, part of the long-established Papas Mineral Company Ltd, a successful family business in its 27th year, and are crafted in small batches in the heart of Belfast.
Wayne named the artisan brand after the original Long Bridge over the River Lagan which spanned the river from 1688 to its collapse in 1841. It was subsequently replaced by the much bigger Queen’s Bridge in January 1849 named in honour of Queen Victoria on her visit to the city.
As a small artisan business, this has been a big step for the team, but the support offered by the Tesco team has been great. Wayne would encourage any small business looking to take their business to that next stage not to be afraid to explore these large retail giants.
