Wimbledon might be known for its pristine lawns and sunny skies, but at East Belfast Enterprise, we brought our own energy – and a few umbrellas – to the occasion. Our team (led by the ever-enthusiastic Sarah) pulled together a fantastic day to celebrate the iconic tennis tournament, and despite the classic Northern Irish weather, spirits were high.
We may not have had Centre Court conditions, but we certainly matched the atmosphere with plenty of enthusiasm and a strong sense of community. As the rain arrived right on cue, we took cover in our largest meeting room, transforming the space into a screening area where we caught some of the real-time Wimbledon action live on the big screen.
Guests enjoyed some delicious themed treats thanks to our friends at Happy Out, who delivered fresh strawberries and cream – because what’s Wimbledon without them? Paired with plenty of tea, coffee, and good conversation, it was the perfect way to bring a bit of summer into the workplace.
But beyond the tennis and treats, the event was all about connection. Entrepreneurs, tenants, remote workers, and the wider East Belfast Enterprise business community came together for a relaxed afternoon of laughter, networking, and a shared appreciation for taking time out to enjoy the moment. Events like these are becoming a big part of what we do at East Belfast Enterprise – creating space not just to work, but to connect and unwind.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us, and to the team behind the scenes who made it all happen. We’re already thinking about next year’s event… but maybe we’ll order the sunshine a bit earlier next time!
