January & February
We proudly celebrated the Eastside Awards, with Aidan Campbell taking home the Outstanding Contribution Award, sponsored by East Belfast Enterprise.
The start of the year also saw the long-awaited resurfacing of the Albertbridge Road tarmac, giving the area a fresh new look while making it safer and more accessible for tenants and visitors.
March
Work began on our community mural, bringing together schools, sports teams, churches, and groups from across East Belfast to get creative!
April
Our downstairs refurb was completed and we welcomed Happy Out Coffee to the ground floor!
Whether you’re staying for a while or just popping in for a meeting be sure to check out our onsite cafe with daily specials.
May
We launched our two new murals and celebrated with a family fun day and a visit from the mayor! The murals represent the past, present, and future of East Belfast.
The mural design was developed during a series of more than 30 workshops in which the groups discussed themes to reflect the lives of those living in East Belfast.
August
As of August, we are proud supporters of the Belfast Business Promise, an accreditation that brings together employers committed to improving our city.
Working together to make Belfast a better city, we want to create a community of organisations committed to improving how they do business together.
October
An exciting month with Sarah returning from maternity leave and our annual Halloween party bringing the fun!
December
We wrapped up the year with the Enterprise Northern Ireland event at Titanic Belfast, celebrating the launch of the eConnex platform and the presentation of the ENI Enterprise Barometer results.
And we closed off the year with our Christmas Lunch for all of our tenants on the 20th December.
Our Star Students
This year, our Senior Receptionist Sarah graduated with a Master of Science with commendation, all while embracing life as a new mum to her baby boy Freddie!
Meanwhile, Kenny, our Business Operations Manger, completed the Masters Module ‘Leading for the future’ at Ulster University. He completed the accreditation with a score of 90% for top of the class AND one of the highest seen for the module at the University.
And Some New Faces
In May, we welcomed our new board members Beverley Brown and Gareth Robinson. They’ve both brought with them incredible expertise and a passion for social enterprise.
May also saw Clare Getty join our team as a Senior Business Advisor, leading the Go Succeed Service. Clare works closely with local entrepreneurs to provide the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed.
Our Brand New Proper Website
To top off an incredible year, we launched our brand-new website, designed by our talented tenants, Stenson Wolf.
The fresh design highlights our services clearly and provides a dedicated space to share tenant updates and community news.
